President: Jackie Rios
My name is Jackie Rios, and I am the RUGS 2016-17 President. I’m a Pre-Med Earth Science major with a focus on Geochemistry. I’m a native Mexican that was practically raised in Sugar Land, Texas. I love going on adventures, discovering new places, drinking coffee, making people smile, and listening to stories! I hope to see RUGS grow as a club both academically and socially. I'd love to create an environment where students can share their passion for Earth Science and all things non-related!

I’m Leila Wahab, and I am the Vice President of RUGS for 2016-2017! I am a junior Earth Science major focusing on geochemistry. I’m a native Texan and love running, traveling, and photography. I think the strength of the Earth Science department is its sense of community, and I am excited to be able to take a part in continuing to build this supportive community and reach out to more undergrads!

Hi, my name is Savannah Ezelle and I am so excited to be a RUGS co VP! I am a native Houstonian and plan to get a BA in Earth Science before pursuing my MBA. If the vending machine in KWG is out of Diet Coke, it's probably my fault. Feel free to say hi!

I'm Audrey Odwuor and I'm RUGS treasurer for 2016-2017. I'm a senior pre-med Earth Science major with a focus in Geochemistry. I've spent my whole life in Texas but I plan on using some time after graduation to see all the cool stuff Texas has never heard of (like seasons!) My ultimate goal is to be the first geologist with an M.D on Mars but for the time being I'm looking forward getting to know my fellow ESCIs and bringing us together this school year!

Hello! I’m Sarah Gerenday, and I am you 2016-2017 webmaster. I will be keeping you up to date on all kinds of lovely things going on the in world of Earth Science. I am a senior in Earth Science on the Geology track, and will be doing an honors thesis this year. Feel free to come by and talk with me about rocks, school, or life.

Hello!! My name is Alex Holmes, and I'm the 2016-2017 RUGS Social. I'm an Earth Science major with a focus in Geochemistry from the class of 2018. I currently reside in the beautiful state of Kentucky (though that may change soon), and I really like puns and picking up heavy things and putting them back down over and over again. I'm really excited to make some cool new events for the upcoming year (book clubs?? Field trips?? Rock-themed baking parties?? The possibilities are endless!), and I hope that we can expand RUGS and get more of our fellow rock-enthused undergraduates involved!!
