Biographical Info

Mr. Romito was born in Italy and came to Texas in 2011, learning Italian, English, and French along the way, as well as achieving placement in both New Jersey and Quebec in competitive swimming. Among many roles, he served as swimmer Team Leader and began to develop his leadership skills within a competitive setting. While pursing his Bachelor's in Geoscience at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2015, he served as the Kappa Sigma Vice President for the 2014-15 year and made certain the chapter achieved a 100% increase in membership. Under the tutelage of Dr. Oldow and Dr. Geissman he improved his geologic mapping skills in Nevada, Colorado, and New Mexico. He received his Bachelor's of Science degree with Latin honors in the summer of 2015. Mr. Romito now seeks to propel his career further using the resources at the disposal of Rice University and within the Professional Master's track in Subsurface Geoscience. His interests include seismic interpretation, field work, and actual drilling (conventional, unconventional, and injection wells).
