Research
Overview
I study fluid flow and sedimentary deformation in shallow crustal systems. Through
laboratory experiments, theoretical models, and field data, I try to understand
how fluids move through sediments as they deform and how this deformation affects
fluid migration. Examples of this include initiation of some submarine landslides,
where and when gas hydrates form, and how glaciation influences freshwater resources.
